Fault connectivity evaluation based on topological structure analysis: A case study of multi-stage faults of deep shale gas reservoirs in central Luzhou Block, southern Sichuan [PDF]
Deep shale gas reserves in southern Sichuan represent a significant opportunity for augmenting China's natural gas reserves and production. One critical factor influencing the permeability and productivity of individual wells in these deep shale gas ...

Precise characterization of fluid‐sensitive logging responses in complex shale reservoirs is very important. It is essential for quantitative formation evaluation and development optimization. Based on a case study of the shale gas reservoir in the second member of the Wujiaping formation (hereinafter referred to as the Wu‐2 Member) in the Hongxing ...

The Late Permian Dalong Formation in western Hubei has recently been recognized as a promising target for shale gas development. However, the comprehensive characterization of its pore structure remains limited. To elucidate the pore system of the Dalong shale, an integrated experimental approach was applied to outcrop‐derived samples.

Identifying Framboidal Pyrrhotite: A Proxy for Hydrothermal Alteration of Organic‐Rich Sediments
Abstract Framboidal pyrrhotite, in sharp contrast to framboidal pyrite, has been rarely reported, and its formation remains poorly understood. Here we report its clear identification in a shale‐gas well core and explore its potential as a proxy for diagenesis or low‐grade metamorphism of organic‐rich sediments.

1. Organic matter graphitization forms highly conductive carbon networks, significantly reducing shale resistivity. 2. Major and trace elements further enhance conductivity through electron transfer and electrochemical reactions. ABSTRACT This study investigates the micro‐pore structure characteristics and genesis of low‐resistivity reservoirs in the ...
