Utilization of liquid radioactive wastes at WWR-M research reactor
Technology of liquid radioactive waste cleaning at the WWR-M research reactor is considered. Physico-chemical parameters of solutions before and after liquid radioactive waste cleaning are presented. Utilization of water in secondary reactor circuit after liquid radioactive waste cleaning is proved.

Abstract Uncertainty in land model projections remains high and the roles of parametric and structural uncertainty are difficult to disentangle. To compare parametric sensitivity across model structures we present two parameter perturbation ensembles using the Community Land Model (CLM) operating in satellite phenology mode.

Window-to-Wall Ratio (WWR) influences building energy and daylight performance, yet its implications depend on both façade orientation and geometry. In rapidly urbanizing regions lacking energy regulations, WWR decisions are often made without systematic

Optimization of conditions for topaz irradiation in the WWR-K reactor
Abstract Activation of impurities in topazes happens due to irradiation with thermal neutrons (induced radioactivity occurs), which complicates their further handling. This leads to the need for their long cooling for safe use. The Institute of Nuclear Physics (Kazakhstan) is conducting R&D to develop a method for the effective ...

The Social Truth of Schopenhauer's ‘Metaphysics of Pity’: Compassion and Critical Theory
Abstract Taking Horkheimer and Adorno's account of pity in the Dialectic of Enlightenment as my starting point, I show that Schopenhauer's compassion‐based moral theory exemplifies key elements of this account. In particular, this moral theory will be shown to possess a social truth for Horkheimer and Adorno because it is an expression of a wrong ...

In hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), aberrantly activated Notch1 signaling induces its target gene YY1, which impairs immunotherapy efficacy by suppressing tumor cell‐ICAM1‐driven T cell activation and the mediated pyroptosis of T cells against tumor cells.

This study aims to bridge the research gap in thermal optimization for urban micro‐renewal by proposing an integrated approach that combines natural factors with functional requirements. Through field experiments and DesignBuilder simulations (validated with local climate data), we evaluated a typical building in Chongqing, China, under summer hot ...

While phenolics determine wine’s sensory and functional properties, white grape varieties remain less studied than red grape varieties in terms of phenolic profiling. Five white grape varieties and Chardonnay (control) were analyzed from veraison to bottling for phenolics and physicochemical properties to identify suitable cultivars for temperate ...
