Environmental Synthesis Radar (ESR) evaluates the environmental impact of (early‐stage) multi‐step chemical syntheses, providing a holistic view by using 18 midpoint impact categories. Unlike conventional life‐cycle assessment (LCA) approaches, ESR reveals three complementary metrics: overall impact Vtotal, environmental hotspots VEF, and critical ...

Amphiphilic non‐isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) coatings containing reactive hydrophobic poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) and hydrophilic methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (MPEG) prepolymers for marine antifouling (AF) and fouling‐release (FR) applications were investigated. The coatings were evaluated with a set of representative marine foulants.

Multilayer aerosol jet printed components with a low‐loss, thermally stable dielectric are demonstrated using benzocyclobutene. Ink formulation and in‐line droplet evaporation control support high‐quality, versatile, and stable printing performance. A specialized measurement for low‐loss materials reveals promising microwave properties, which, combined

From Magnetic Fibers to Paper Architectures: A Lightweight Strategy for Robust Low-Frequency Microwave Absorption. [PDF]
A scalable process converts para‐aramid fibers into soft‐magnetic building blocks via micrometer‐thick Fe0.64Ni0.36 (Invar‐type) coatings. Assembled into paper, they form a hierarchical conductive network whose tunable permeability enables thin, lightweight microwave absorption in the low‐frequency (S‐band) regime.

On the Reliability of Surface Current Measurements by X-Band Marine Radar [PDF]
Real-time quality-controlled surface current data derived from X-Band marine radar (MR) measurements were evaluated to estimate their operational reliability. The presented data were acquired by the standard commercial off-the-shelf MR-based sigma s6 WaMoS® II (WaMoS® II) deployed onboard the German Research vessel Polarstern.
