X-Ray Polarimetry of the Dipping Accreting Neutron Star 4U 1624–49

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present the first X-ray polarimetric study of the dipping accreting neutron star 4U 1624−49 with the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer. We report a detection of polarization in the nondip time intervals with a confidence level of 99.99%.

Long-term Evolution of Sco X-1: Implications for the Current Spin Frequency and Ellipticity of the Neutron Star

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Sco X-1 is the brightest observed extrasolar X-ray source, which is a neutron star (NS) low-mass X-ray binary (LMXB) and is thought to have a strong potential for continuous gravitational waves (CW) detection due to its high accretion rate and relative ...

Highly Polarized Intrinsic Emission and Its Orthogonal Counterpart in Vela X-1

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Vela X-1 is one of the most archetypal wind-fed X-ray pulsars (XRPs), and the emergence of its orthogonal polarization states reveals distinctive polarimetric properties.

Quasiperiodic Oscillations in a Highly Magnetized Ultracompact X-Ray Binary 4U 1626-67

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We report the detection of mHz quasiperiodic oscillations (QPOs) in four Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array observations of 4U 1626–67 during its recent spin-down episode.

Eclipsing Millisecond Pulsars with He Star Companions

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Eclipsing millisecond pulsars (MSPs) are a type of pulsar binaries with close orbits (≲1.0 day). They are important objects for studying the accretion history of neutron stars (NSs), pulsar winds, and the origin of isolated MSPs, etc.
