A Printed Zinc‐Ion Microbattery with Extended Shelf Life and Durability for Energy Autonomous Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a fully printed aqueous zinc‐ion microbattery (ZnIB) enabled by graphene‐decorated zinc anode and printed MnO@NC cathode using sustainable aqueous‐based ink formulations. The printed 3D electrodes ensure uniform zinc deposition, low overpotential, and long‐term stability.

X-ray computed tomography [PDF]

open access: yesNature Reviews Methods Primers, 2021
X-ray computed tomography (CT) can reveal the internal details of objects in three dimensions non-destructively. In this Primer, we outline the basic principles of CT and describe the ways in which a CT scan can be acquired using X-ray tubes and synchrotron sources, including the different possible contrast modes that can be exploited.

X-Ray Computed Tomography

2020
Whilst additive manufacturing allows the production of highly complex parts, X-ray computed tomography enables the holistic characterisation and measurement of such parts, including their intricate geometries and inner features that would not be accessible otherwise.

X‐ray‐transmission computed tomography

Medical Physics, 1977
The immediate goal of clinically based x‐ray‐transmission computed tomography (CT) is to provide a measurement of the x‐ray linear attenuation coefficient in cross section with the ultimate goal of impacting on patient managerment and care. To do this with the accuracy needed for clinical goals requires the careful integration of x‐ray physics ...
