Does a Morphotropic Phase Boundary Exist in ZrxHf1‐xO2‐Based Thin Films?
This study investigates 6 nm zirconium‐rich hafnium‐zirconium oxide thin–film metal–insulator–metal capacitors using a combination of experimental methods and machine learning–based molecular dynamics simulations to provide insight into the physical mechanisms that enhance the dielectric constant near 0 V and attribute it to the field‐induced ...

Synthesis of Alkaline Earth Diazenides MAEN2 (MAE = Ca, Sr, Ba) by Controlled Thermal Decomposition of Azides under High Pressure [PDF]
The alkaline earth diazenides MAEN2 with MAE = Ca, Sr and Ba were synthesized by a novel synthetic approach, namely, a controlled decomposition of the corresponding azides in a multianvil press at highpressure/ high-temperature conditions.

Halogen substitution controls a conformational switch between a folded closed‐shell and a flat singlet‐diradical conformer in an air‐stable Thiele‐diradical. This conformational switch allows for near‐unity photoluminescence quantum yield with a large Stokes shift, solvatochromism, and a long‐lived excited state.

Mössbauer diffractometry on polycrystalline (57)Fe3Al [PDF]
A Mossbauer powder diffractometer was used to measure diffraction patterns from polycrystalline foils of (Fe3Al)-Fe-57. The intensities of Bragg diffractions were measured as a function of the energy of the incident photon.

SiGeC alloy layer formation by high-dose C + implantations into pseudomorphic metastable Ge0.08Si0.92 on Si(100) [PDF]
Dual-energy carbon implantation (1 × 1016/cm2 at 150 and at 220 keV) was performed on 260-nm-thick undoped metastable pseudomorphic Si(100)/ Ge0.08Si0.92 with a 450-nm-thick SiO2 capping layer, at either room temperature or at 100 °C.

Resistive Heating for Inducing Localized Crystal Growth in Organic Thin Film Devices
Rubrene thin films are promising for organic optoelectronics due to high hole mobility. However, uncontrolled crystallization and grain boundaries from standard thermal processing hinder lateral device scalability. This work presents femtosecond‐laser micromachining and patterned resistive heating to induce localized, deterministic crystallization ...
