Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Oxidation behavior of molten magnesium alloy AZ91D in different atmospheres containing sulfur and fluorine

open access: yesMaterials Research Express
In the magnesium alloy melting process, the implementation of anti-burning technology is imperative. This study investigates the oxidation resistance of AZ91D magnesium alloy melting at 730 °C in an open environment under a mixed gas atmosphere, where ...

Effect of Rare Earth Salt and Perpendicular Magnetic Field on Corrosion Resistance and Microstructure of CoMoP Film in Chloride Solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2012
In order to improve the corrosion resistance of CoMoP film in 3.5% NaCl solution, rare earth(lanthanum) salt and perpendicular magnetic field(PMF) were adopted in the film deposition process.

Nano-assembled thin film gas sensors. 1. Ammonia detection by a porphyrin-based multilayer film. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A thin film of porphyrin deposited by the layer-by-layer method is employed as the active element for an optical sensor. The usefulness of this film technology and the resulting nanoscale matrix for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Pyroelectricity in langmuir-blodgett films [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
The fabrication of pyroelectric devices using the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique is described. Studies of a wide range of materials are reported; however, the thesis concentrates on electrical and structural investigations of two specific alternate ...

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Preparation and characterization of suitable insulating and transparent conducting thin films for thin film electroluminescent devices by sol-gel process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Thin film electroluminescent (TFEL) displays are attractive because they are light, have low power consumption, wide viewing angle and long lifetime, are extremely rugged and can be used in hostile environments.
