Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Selective Benzene Capture by Metal‐Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) hold significant potential for capturing benzene from air emissions and hydrocarbon mixtures in liquid phases. This capability stems from their precisely engineered structures, versatile chemistries, and diverse binding interactions.

High-resolution Elemental Mapping of the Lunar Surface [PDF]

open access: yes
New instruments and missions are being proposed to study the lunar surface as a result of the resurgence of interest in returning to the Moon. One instrument recently proposed is similar in concept to the x-ray fluorescence detectors flown on Apollo, but

X-RAY FLUORESCENCE ANALYSIS WITH MONOCHROMATIC X-RAYS

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1984
The intensities of fluorescence x-rays from thick elemental targets and from trace elements in three thin targets are calculated for three monochromatic primary x-rays.

Flexibility and Dynamicity Enhances and Controls Supramolecular Self‐Assembly of Zinc(II) Metallogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zinc(II) coordination complexes with tunable aryloxy‐imine ligands exhibit controllable supramolecular self‐assembly into hierarchical fibrous structures. Coordination‐driven stacking, not π–π interactions, enables gelation, dynamic assembly/disassembly, and enhanced nanomechanical properties.

Fluorescence imaging of nonlinear x-ray propagation and lasing

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
We introduce a general approach for probing nonlinear x-ray propagation by imaging secondary fluorescence emitted transverse to the driving field. When a short, intense x-ray pulse excites a deep 1s core orbital, subsequent Kα emission from spin-orbit ...

X-ray astronomy [PDF]

open access: yes
Various experiments in X-ray astronomy are described. The occurrence of lunar occultations of the Crab Nebula were utilized to determine the spatial distribution of X-ray emitting regions in the nebula.
