Parkes Radio and NuSTAR X-Ray Observations of the Composite Supernova Remnant B0453–685 in the Large Magellanic Cloud

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Gamma-ray emission is observed coincident in position to the evolved, composite supernova remnant (SNR) B0453–685. Prior multiwavelength investigations of the region indicate that the pulsar wind nebula (PWN) within the SNR is the most likely origin for ...

PSR J1953+1844 Probably Being the Descendant of an Ultracompact X-Ray Binary

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters, 2023
PSR J1953+1844 (i.e., M71E) is a millisecond pulsar in a 53 minute binary orbit discovered by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope. The mass function from pulsar timing is 2.3 × 10 ^−7 M _⊙ .

A New Supernova Remnant Coincident with the Slow X-Ray Pulsar AX J1845–0258 [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysical Journal, 1999
We report on Very Large Array observations in the direction of the recently discovered slow X-ray pulsar AX J1845-0258. In the resulting images, we find a 5' shell of radio emission; the shell is linearly polarized with a nonthermal spectral index.

Detection of an X-ray Pulsation for the Gamma-ray Pulsar Centered in CTA 1

open access: yes, 2010
We report the detection of X-ray pulsations with a period of ~315.87 ms from the 2009 XMM-Newton observation for the radio-quiet gamma-ray pulsar, LAT PSR J0007+7303, centered in the supernova remnant CTA 1.

A study of the long term evolution of quasi periodic oscillations in the accretion powered X-ray pulsar 4U 1626-67 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We report here a study of the long term properties of Quasi Periodic Oscillations (QPO) in an unusual accreting X-ray pulsar, 4U 1626--67. This is a unique accretion powered X-ray pulsar in which we have found the QPOs to be present during all ...

Discovery of the Accretion-powered Millisecond X-Ray Pulsar IGR J00291+5934 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We report on observations of the sixth accretion-powered millisecond pulsar, IGR J00291+5934, with the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer. The source is a faint recurrent X-ray transient initially identified by the International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics ...

Hard X-ray tails and cyclotron features in X-ray pulsars [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2001
We review the physical processes occurring in the magnetosphere of accreting X-ray pulsars, with emphasis on those processes that give rise to observable effects in their high (E>10 keV) energy spectra. In the second part we compare the empirical spectral laws used to fit the observed spectra with theoretical models, at the light of the BeppoSAX ...

Optical observations of PSR J2021+3651 in the Dragonfly Nebula with the GTC

open access: yes, 2015
PSR J2021+3651 is a 17 kyr old rotation powered pulsar detected in the radio, X-rays, and $\gamma$-rays. It powers a torus-like pulsar wind nebula with jets, dubbed the Dragonfly, which is very similar to that of the Vela pulsar.
