The context‐dependent duality of cGAS–STING signalling in urologic tumours is revealed. Targeting the STING pathway, in combination with immunotherapies and gene therapies, enhances the anti‐tumour response. Sex hormone differences in urological malignancies are correlated with the cGAS–STING pathway.

The Intrabinary Shock and Companion Star of Redback Pulsar J2215+5135
PSR J2215+5135 (J2215) is a “redback” spider pulsar, where the intrabinary shock (IBS) wraps around the pulsar rather than the stellar-mass companion. Spider orbital light curves are modulated, dominated by their binary companion thermal emission in the ...

On the soft emission mechanism in X-ray pulsars
We propose a mechanism responsible for the soft emission in X-ray pulsars. We discuss the origin of the soft emission for isolated X-ray pulsars as well as for soft gamma-ray repeaters and anomalous X-ray pulsars.

Discovery of Diffuse Hard X-Ray Emission from the Vicinity of PSR J1648-4611 with Suzaku
We observed the pulsar PSR J1648-4611 with Suzaku. Two X-ray sources, Suzaku J1648-4610 (Src A) and Suzaku J1648-4615 (Src B), were found in the field of view. Src A is coincident with the pulsar PSR J1648-4611, which was also detected by the Fermi Gamma-

Electron Density Structure Measurements With Scattered Intense Laser Beam
ABSTRACT Short‐pulse intense lasers have the potential to model extreme astrophysical environments in laboratories. Although there are diagnostics for energetic electrons and ions resulting from laser‐plasma interactions, the diagnostics to measure velocity distribution functions at the interaction region of the laser and plasma are limited.

Diagnosing the Particle Transport Mechanism in the Pulsar Halo via X-Ray Observations
Pulsar halos (also termed “TeV halos”) are a new class of γ -ray sources in the Galaxy, which manifest as extended γ -ray emission around middle-aged pulsars, as discovered around the Geminga pulsar, the Monogem pulsar, and PSR J0622+3749 by the High ...

ABSTRACT Background Thermoregulation is critical for preventing hyperthermia during physical activity. In Huntington's disease (HD), research on possible thermoregulatory alterations has received little attention. Objectives We aimed to investigate and compare skin temperature differences before and after exercise between HD patients and healthy ...

X‐Ray Emission from Middle‐aged Pulsars [PDF]
We present a simple, unified model which accounts for properties of the X-ray emission from the three middle-aged pulsars PSR 1055-52, PSR 0656+14 and PSR 0630+18 (Geminga). The X-ray radiation from these objects is pulsed more strongly at energies above a transition point around 0.5 keV.

Swift Follow-up of Reported Radio Pulsars at Fermi 4FGL Unassociated Sources
Following the discovery of radio pulsars at the position of Fermi-LAT unassociated sources by the TRAPUM group, we conduct Swift-XRT observations of six of those 4FGL sources to determine if any pulsar-like X-ray sources are present and to confirm the ...
