Monochromatic x‐ray images of x‐ray emitting sources
Applied Physics Letters, 1980A method is demonstrated for obtaining monochromatic aberration-free images of x-ray emitting sources, through the process of double Bragg reflection. Space-resolved ion and temperature distribution in hot plasmas may therefore be obtained.

Eight new sources of cosmic x-rays were detected by two Aerobee surveys in 1964. One source, from Sagittarius, is close to the galactic center, and the other, from Ophiuchus, may coincide with Kepler's 1604 supernova. All the x-ray sources are fairly close to the galactic plane.

Abstract In this work we report on the characterization of pulsed soft x‐rays emitted from laser‐produced plasma. The plasma was generated by a pulsed KrF excimer laser focused on pure Si, Cu and Ta targets by 40, 80 and 120 mJ laser energies.

Radiation Sources: X-Ray Sources
2016X-ray was the name given by W. C. Roentgen (Figure 1(a)) to the highly penetrating rays which emanated when high energy electrons struck a metal target. On November 8, 1895 he noted for the first time this phenomena and on December 28, 1895 Roentgen astonished the scientific world with his preliminary report 'Ueber eine neue Art von Strahlen' given to ...

X-rays are produced whenever electrons are suddenly brought to rest by colliding with matter. It is necessary therefore, for the following conditions to prevail: 1. a means of producing and sustaining a stream of electrons, i.e. a good vacuum, with a source of electrons which in most modern X-ray tubes is a heated filament; 2.
