It has long been known that a large population of Be/X-ray binaries (BeXRBs) exists in the Milky Way’s neighboring dwarf galaxy, the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), due to a recent period of intense star formation.

Distinct Systemic Sclerosis Phenotypes Related to Ethnicity: An Opportunity to Personalize Care?
Objective The objective is to describe and compare demographic, clinical, and serological characteristics of patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) according to ethnic background. Methods Participants enrolled in the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group cohort who self‐identified to a single ethnicity group were included.

Demography of obscured and unobscured AGN: prospects for a Wide Field X-ray Telescope
We discuss some of the main open issues in the evolution of Active Galactic Nuclei which can be solved by the sensitive, wide area surveys to be performed by the proposed Wide Field X-ray Telescope ...

Searching for the Highest-z Dual Active Galactic Nuclei in the Deepest Chandra Surveys
We present an analysis searching for dual active galactic nuclei (AGN) among 62 high-redshift (2.5 < z < 3.5) X-ray sources selected from the X-UDS, AEGIS-XD, CDF-S, and COSMOS-Legacy Chandra surveys.

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Discovery of the Optical and Radio Counterpart to the Fast X-Ray Transient EP 240315a
Fast X-ray Transients (FXTs) are extragalactic bursts of soft X-rays first identified ≳10 yr ago. Since then, nearly 40 events have been discovered, although almost all of these have been recovered from archival Chandra and XMM-Newton data.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

Searching for Accreting Compact Object Binaries in SRG/eROSITA eRASS1
Compact object binaries with accreting white dwarfs, neutron stars, or black holes are crucial for understanding accretion physics. In this study, we identify accreting compact object binary candidates in the Spectrum–Roentgen–Gamma/eROSITA eRASS1 by ...

Powder metal processing provides scalable advantages in nanoporous (np) metal development. Mechanical alloying is used to produce unique precursors for hybrid nanopore formation by oxide reduction and dealloying. As demonstrated in np Ag, this approach improves process efficiency while promoting smaller ligaments and larger pores, both of which are ...
