Operation of the x-ray telescope eROSITA

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
The X-ray telescope eROSITA is the core instrument besides the Russian ART-XC on the Russian Spektrum-Roentgen- Gamma satellite which will be launched in 2012 to an orbit around the L2 point of the Earth-Sun-system. During both survey and pointing phase the solar panels and the antenna constrain the possible mission scenario.

NeXT hard x-ray telescope

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
NeXT is Japan's 6th X-ray astronomical observatory following to ASTRO-E2. The launch is currently scheduled in 2010. One of the main goal of NeXT is to explore the hard X-ray Universe with newly developed hard X-ray telescope. The hard X-ray telescope utilizes multilayer-supermirror and high-throughput thin-foil optics technology.

Mirror Systems for X-Ray Telescopes

1976
As is known, studies of the soft x radiation of cosmic objects using proportional flow counters of large area are associated with considerable technical difficulties. At the same time, the use of reflecting x-ray optics is possible in this region of the spectrum (softer than l keV).

Radio, Submillimeter, and X-Ray Telescopes

1976
This volume contains the results of research and development connected with the creation oftelescopes intended for the new regions of the spectrum mastered by astronomy: the x-ray, submillimeter (far infrared), and radio regions. The creation of x-ray, submillimeter, and radio telescopes and the receiver apparatus connected with them is a complicated ...
