7 years of X-Ray fluorescence computed micro-tomography

open access: yes, 2004
Since 1998 we have developed X-Ray fluorescence tomography for microanalysis. All aspects were tackled starting with the reconstruction performed by FBP or ART methods.

Enhancing Strength and Electrical Conductivity in Al–Zr–Sc Conductor Alloys Through Sn and Sr Microalloying and Two‐Step Aging Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Trace additions of Sn and Sr combined with a two‐step aging treatment are shown to enhance the microstructure and performance of Al–Zr–Sc conductor alloys. Strength and electrical conductivity increase concurrently through accelerated precipitation of fine Al3(Sc, Zr) precipitates and improved dislocation resistance, offering a cost‐effective pathway ...

View synthesis for kinetic depth X-ray imaging

open access: yes, 2012
This thesis reports the development and analysis of feature based synthesis of transmission X-ray images. The synthetic imagery is formed through matching and morphing or warping line-scan format images produced by a novel multi-view X-ray machine.

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Clinical outcomes of posterior scleral reinforcement in Chinese high myopia children

open access: yesScientific Reports
We aim to observe the posterior scleral reinforcement (PSR) clinical outcomes of children with high myopia and analyze the retinal vessel alteration before and after PSR by using angiography optical coherence tomography (angio-OCT).

X-ray tomography of the aerospace products

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Currently, non-destructive methods are increasingly being used to inspect the critical components in different branches of industry. Special focus is on the usage of high-energy X-ray microtomography used to inspect large objects with high density.

Tailored Hierarchical Porous Copper Architectures via Three Dimensional Printing and Pressure‐less Sintering for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.
