Corrosion Behavior of API X100 Steel Material in a Hydrogen Sulfide Environment [PDF]
Recently, the API X100 steel has emerged as an important pipeline material for transportation of crude oil and natural gas. At the same time, the presence of significant amounts of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in natural gas and crude oil cause pipeline materials to corrode, which affects their integrity. In this study, the effect of H2S concentration on the

The Evolution and Distribution of Microstructures in High-Energy Laser-Welded X100 Pipeline Steel [PDF]
High-energy beam welding was introduced for pipeline steel welding to reduce pipeline construction costs and improve the efficiency and safety of oil and gas transportation. Microstructures and their distribution in X100 laser-welded joints, which determine the joints’ strength and toughness, are discussed in this paper.

Impact of Vanadium Addition on API X100 Steel
Laboratory heats of an API X100 steel (Mn–Mo–Nb) with two levels of vanadium (0.004% and 0.063%) were melted and control rolled simulating a coiled plate production process. Extensive microstructural analyses were performed, including optical, EBSD and TEM. Texture analyses of the two alloys were also compared. Mechanical properties were determined for

This study explores the opposing effects of the mGluR2 and mGluR3 receptors on amyloid precursor protein processing. mGluR2 promotes amyloidogenic cleavage, while mGluR3 favors non‐amyloidogenic pathways. Using a brain‐penetrant nanobody as a mGluR2 positive allosteric modulator, the study uncovers how its chronic activation aggravates amyloid‐β burden

Temporal Interference Stimulation Enhances Neural Regeneration
Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is proposed as a non‐invasive approach to enhance neural regeneration in the deep brain. Theta‐band TI modulation selectively promotes neural progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and augments hippocampal neurogenesis in amouse model of Alzheimer's disease‐like amyloidosis.

Carrageenans, widely used food additives, disrupted intestinal epithelial integrity in a gut‐on‐a‐chip model. All types (κ‐, ɩ‐, λ‐) induced cytotoxicity, inflammation and tight junction (TJ) disruption, triggering TNF‐mediated immune responses. λ‐Carrageenan had the most severe effects, supporting the Epithelial Barrier Theory linking food additives ...
