X65 steel pipes subjected to combined stretching and bending

open access: yes, 2015
Subsea pipelines are occasionally struck and hooked by objects such as anchors or trawl gear. The initial denting followed by a potential hooking and displacement of the pipeline, with a simultaneous increase in tensile axial forces due to this displacement, cause a complex load and deformation history.

Corrosion behavior of API 5L X65 steel subject to plastic deformation

open access: yes, 2018
The API 5L X65 steel is widely used as one of the most economical and safe ways of transporting oil and gas. The significant number of accidents caused by failures of pipelines is due to corrosion. Plastic deformation can modify the mechanical properties

Materials testing and characterization of four X60-X65 pipeline steels

open access: yes, 2021
This report summarizes the main results from the slow strain rate tensile testing campaign performed within the framework of the HyLINE project. The base metals and weld simulated heat affected zones of four pipeline steels, in four different positions of the pipes, have been tested under in-situ electrochemically charged hydrogen conditions and in air
