Micro-Behavior of Inclusions in X80 Pipeline Steel under Tensile Loading
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012Specially designed SEM in-situ tensile tests have been conducted to trace the entire process of crack initiation and propagation induced by inclusions in X80 pipeline steel. The main inclusions are complex oxides containing aluminum, calcium and magnesium with round or oval shape, and their sizes are in the range of 3~20μm.

CORROSION 2014, 2014Abstract Alternating current (AC) induced-corrosion on cathodically protected pipeline of X80 steel was studied by electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS). Experiments show that: EIS curves contain two time constants which represent high-frequency capacitance arc and low-frequency inductive loop, respectively.
