Relationship Between Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of X90 Pipeline Steel

The relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties of X90 pipeline steel was investigated. The results showed that X90 pipeline steel consists of granular bainite and M/A island. The mechanical properties including tensile and impact properties are influenced by the polygonal ferrite.

In this work, X90 pipeline steel was welded by shielded metal arc welding with root and submerged arc welding with calk and cap. After that, the joint was tempered at 550 °C and 600 °C.
