Influence of Underwater Bar Location on Cross-Shore Sediment Transport in the Coastal Zone
The effect of the underwater bar position on a sandy beach profile was studied on a timescale of one storm, using the XBeach numerical model. The largest shoreline regress occurred in the first hour of storm.

Role of Beach Morphology in Wave Overtopping Hazard Assessment
Understanding the role of beach morphology in controlling wave overtopping volume will further minimise uncertainties in flood risk assessments at coastal locations defended by engineered structures worldwide.

Wave runup is generated by energy which remains after wave breaking and travels farther to the coast in the form of a bore. It can be seen as a thin wedge of water running up the beach face (Brocchini and Baldock, 2008).

The shoreline and morphological responses to storm event at Ras Al-Hekma sandy beaches
Considering the increasing frequency of storms in addition to the high economical value of potential investments in Ras Al-Hekma, Egypt, this study investigates the morphological responses of the coastline to extreme storm events.

Modelling long term morphological change using Xbeach
In this study, the XBeach Model, a two-dimensional depth averaged coupled hydrodynamic and morphologic numerical model, is used to determine the long-term behaviour of sediment transport process and morphological changes in Yumurtalık region in Adana ...

Study of morphological response of Maasvlakte 2 soft sea defense using 2 D XBeach
XBeach, written in Fortran 90 language, is 2DH open-source process-based coastal modelling software that includes short wave propagation, flow, sediment transport and seabed changes in different wave spectral and flow boundary conditions. The
