Metal–organic framework with optimally selective xenon adsorption and separation
Nuclear energy is among the most viable alternatives to our current fossil fuel-based energy economy. The mass deployment of nuclear energy as a low-emissions source requires the reprocessing of used nuclear fuel to recover fissile materials and mitigate

New constraints and prospects for sub-GeV dark matter scattering off electrons in xenon [PDF]
We study in detail sub-GeV dark matter scattering off electrons in xenon, including the expected electron recoil spectra and annual modulation spectra. We derive improved constraints using low-energy XENON10 and XENON100 ionization-only data. For XENON10,

In in vitro model of short-term therapeutic inhalation of Xe/O2 mixture, xenon in millimolar concentrations led to a pronounced decrease in induced platelet aggregation in the platelet-enriched blood plasma. The maximum and statistically significant decrease occurred in response to induction by collagen (by ≈30%, p≤0.01) and ADP (by ≈25%, p≤0.01).

Xenon 5d emission in pure xenon and xenon doped argon
Chemical Physics Letters, 1978Abstract The radiative of Xe 5d ( 3 2 ) 1 states in photoexcited Xe and Xe doped Ar is investigated. The Xe 5d fluorescence contains new information about the deactivation of highly excited states of Xe and about the energy transfer from Ar to Xe.

Control of Zeolite Local Polarity toward Efficient Xenon/Krypton Separation.
Journal of the American Chemical SocietyThe inherent inertness and striking physicochemical similarities of krypton and xenon pose significant challenges to their separation. Reported herein is the efficient xenon capture and xenon/krypton adsorptive separation by transition metal-free ...
