Data for: Two kinds of authigenic xenotime overgrowths in response to an Early Paleozoic tectonothermal event in South China [PDF]
This study has documented two kinds of xenotime overgrowths from the Cryogenian-Ediacaran sedimentary rocks in South China. The identical tetragonal dipyramidal structures prompted one type of xenotime to overgrow detrital zircon grains, whereas the ...

Location, Location, Location: Monazite Behaviour During UHT Metamorphism and Melt Crystallization
ABSTRACT Monazite is a robust mineral for recording the suprasolidus evolution of migmatites and granulites. However, monazite commonly has diverse compositions and yields variable dates in a single sample; understanding the controls on monazite behaviour and composition during partial melting and melt crystallization are not always straightforward ...

P‐T‐t‐d Evolution of Low‐Grade Metamorphic Xenotime, Eastern Alps (Austria)
ABSTRACT In situ LA‐ICP‐MS U‐Pb dating of xenotime was used to establish the age of low‐grade metamorphism in Permian metasediments of the Austroalpine Unit (Eastern Alps, Austria). Complexly zoned xenotime in chloritoid‐bearing metasedimentary samples possesses distinct MREE‐rich domains. In the eastern sample, this domain yielded a date of c. 135 Ma,

We build a new, open‐source global copper deposit dataset (GCDD), facilitating AI‐driven data analysis for exploration targeting and improving our understanding of copper mineralizing systems and their mappable expressions. The GCDD hosts information about 1483 copper deposits worldwide, capturing key deposit attributes such as location, genetic type ...

Distinguishing xenotime and zircon in ores and estimating the xenotime content for on-site analysis
Estimation of the content of the major minerals containing rare earth element (REE) (e.g., xenotime, monazite, and bastnäsite) to extract metal REEs is a critical task for efficient exploration of mines with REE reserves. X-ray-excited optical luminescence (XEOL) imaging is a promising method for estimating the REE-bearing mineral content on-site ...

Decomposition of Xenotime with Sulfuric Acid
