Plasma‐Boosted Bi2Mn4O10 Electrocatalysis Enables Real‐Time On‐Board Monitoring of CO2 in Exhaust

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Real‐time monitoring of CO2 concentration in automobile exhaust is critical for effective carbon emission reduction. However, the inherently inert nature of CO2 poses a significant challenge for achieving accurate and efficient detection in the exhaust automobile environment.

Chiral Symmetry Breaking in Gelation

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Although chiral symmetry breaking in gelation is usually regarded as a rare phenomenon, this might not be true. Rather, recent studies suggest that its probability to emerge in gelation can be higher than that in crystallization, indicating the presence of rich science to be uncovered in the corresponding research fields.

Effects of Compositional Tailoring on Drug Delivery Behaviours of Silica Xerogel/Polymer Core-shell Composite Nanoparticles

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Conventional core-shell polymer nanoparticles usually exhibit a rapid release rate with their release kinetics mainly adjusted through changing composition of the polymer shells, limiting their applications for prolonged drug delivery.

A new class of organogelators based on triphenylmethyl derivatives of primary alcohols: hydrophobic interactions alone can mediate gelation

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2017
In the present work, we have explored the use of the triphenylmethyl group, a commonly used protecting group for primary alcohols as a gelling structural component in the design of molecular gelators.

Nitric oxide-releasing S-nitrosothiol-modified xerogels

open access: yesBiomaterials, 2009
The synthesis, material characterization, and in vitro biocompatibility of S-nitrosothiol (RSNO)-modified xerogels is described. Thiol-functionalized xerogel films were formed by hydrolysis and co-condensation of 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTMS) and methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMOS) sol-gel precursors at varying concentrations.
