Xe 4d photoionization in Xe@C60, Xe@C240, and Xe@C60@C240

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2012
Re-evaluated parameters for the square-well potential model for photoionization of endo-fullerenes are proposed and employed to reveal the spectacular modifications in the Xe 4d photoionization giant resonance along the path from Xe@C60 to Xe@C240 to multi-walled Xe@C60@C240.

Hydrodynamic predictions for 5.44 TeV Xe+Xe collisions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2018
We argue that relativistic hydrodynamics is able to make robust predictions for soft particle production in Xe+Xe collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The change of system size from Pb+Pb to Xe+Xe provides a unique opportunity to test the scaling laws inherent to fluid dynamics.

DB-XES: enabling process discovery in the large [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Dealing with the abundance of event data is one of the main process discovery challenges. Current process discovery techniques are able to efficiently handle imported event log files that fit in the computer’s memory.

Ultrafast X-ray Spectroscopy of Haem Proteins

open access: yesCHIMIA, 2022
In this article we revisit our recent picosecond and femtosecond X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and X-ray emission spectroscopy (XES) experiments, probing the ultrafast electronic and geometric evolution of photoexcited haem proteins, namely ...

XTOD - XES Interface Control Document [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This document describes the interface between the LCLS XTOD System (WBS No.1.5) and the LCLS XES (WBS No.1.6). The interface locations ranging from the beam dump to the far experimental hall are identified.

Binding of an electron by He and Xe [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 1991
A recent theoretical paper (Guo, Wrinn, and Whitehead, Phys. Rev. A 40, 6685 (1989)) predicted the existence of ground-state bound negative ions of all the noble gases. In addition, experimental observations (Haberland, Kolar, and Reiners, Phys. Rev. Lett. 63, 1219 (1989)) suggest the existence of long-lived Xe{sup {minus}}.
