Evolutionary Theories of Emotion in Italian Psychophysiology: Reception, Critique, and Influence, 1880-1920. [PDF]
J Hist Behav SciABSTRACT This article examines how Italian psychophysiologists engaged with Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory of the emotions (ETE) between 1880 and 1920. Darwin's work on the natural history of emotions converged with a vibrant tradition of experimental psychophysiology that embodied Italian Positivism's scientific ambitions.

Early Medieval Europe, Volume 31, Issue 4, Page 543-562, November 2023., 2023 After the end of the Gothic War in the mid‐sixth century, northern Italy remained divided between the Merovingian Franks and the eastern Roman Empire. In the 560s the Frankish territories were finally taken by imperial armies, but the end of Merovingian Italy is variably dated between 561 and 565.
