Population Studies With Xiphinema Diversicaudatum and X. Index Maintained Under Two Temperature Regimes

Nematologica, 1970
The life cycles of X. diversicaudatum and X. index were compared under two temperature regimes. For both species under both temperature regimes, peak egg laying occurred during the summer months. Total populations reached their maximum in autumn and their lowest point in spring. Temperature affected the time of onset of egg production in X.

A Possible Gustatory Organ Associated With the Odontophore in Longidorus Leptocephalus and Xiphinema Diversicaudatum

Nematologica, 1975
In the plant parasitic nematodes Longidorus leptocephalus (Hooper) and Xiphinema diversicaudatum (Micoletzky) the long spear has two parts, the odontostyle and the odontophore. The odontophore is a modification of the anterior oesophagus and contains three sinuses which lie parallel to and around the food canal.

Microplot studies with Xiphinema diversicaudatum under annual and perennial cropping regimes

Annals of Applied Biology, 1977
ABSTRACTAnnual and perennial crops were grown in monoculture over three‐ or four‐year experiments. Strawberry, raspberry and ryegrass maintained high population densities of Xiphinema diversicaudatum. Hop maintained relatively low population densities as did all annual crops tested, including winter wheat, winter beans, spring barley, potatoes, sugar ...

Population Development of Longidorus Elongatus On Strawberry in Scotland With Observations On Xiphinema Diversicaudatum On Raspberry

Nematologica, 1969
Oviposition in Longidorus elongatus on strawberry crops (Frugaria × ananassa Duchesne) in Scotland began in April, increased rapidly to a peak in May and declined markedly or ceased in July/August; a secondary phase of oviposition terminated by October.
