Development of a real‐time PCR method for the detection of the dagger nematodes Xiphinema index , X. diversicaudatum , X. vuittenezi and X. italiae , and for the quantification of X. index numbers

Plant Pathology, 2015
The ectoparasitic dagger nematodes Xiphinema index and Xiphinema diversicaudatum, often at low numbers in the soil, are vectors of grapevine nepoviruses, which cause huge agronomical problems for the vineyard industry. This study reports a method, based on real-time PCR, for the specific detection of these species and of the closely related non-vector ...

Морфологическая и молекулярная характеристика Xiphinema vuittenezi Luc, Lima, Weischer & Flegg, 1964 (Nematoda: Dorylaimida) из виноградников Армении.

Xiphinema vuittenezi is a plant-parasitic nematode widely distributed in the Republic of Armenia. Until recently, morphological and morphometric features of the Armenian population of X. vuittenezi have been poorly studied and data concerning molecular characteristics were not available. The study was conducted on the population of X.

The life cycle of Xiphinema vuittenezi (nematoda) from Slovakia

2000
In a laboratory study at 18-22 °C, a Slovak population of Xiphinema vuittenezi developed from egg to adult in six months, equivalent to 3360 day degrees above a minimum daily threshold of 5 °C. Female longevity on Vitis vinifera was slightly more than 24 months.
