Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid and Other Dentine Bioactive Molecule‐Releasing Agents for Regenerative Endodontic Procedures: A Systematic Review

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The bioactive molecules released from dentine are key to stem‐cell recruitment, proliferation and differentiation in regenerative endodontics. However, there is limited and conflicting information regarding current and potential agents for releasing dentine bioactive molecules for regenerative endodontic procedures.

Effect of intracanal time of triple antibiotic paste on its removal from simulated immature roots using passive ultrasonic irrigation and XP-endo Finisher [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of different irrigation techniques in the removal of triple antibiotic paste (TAP), which was applied for 7, 21 or 90 days, from simulated root canals of immature teeth. Methods.

Three‐Dimensional Segmentation of Dens Invaginatus: A Case Series Exploring the CARES Classification for Anatomy‐Driven Clinical Decision‐Making

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Dens invaginatus (DI) exhibits substantial 3‐dimensional anatomical variability that may not be fully represented by conventional classification systems. The recently introduced CARES classification provides a CBCT‐based framework incorporating communication, cross‐sectional anatomy, root formation, vertical extent, and ...

Comparative genomics of dark septate endophytes: shedding light on the enigmatic lifestyle and biology of DSEs

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Ancestral lifestyle reconstruction across the phylogeny of the 107 analysed fungal genomes. Summary Dark septate endophytes (DSE) are widespread root‐colonising fungi with poorly understood lifestyle and ecological functions. We investigated their genomic traits, sexual reproduction signatures, carbohydrate‐active enzyme (CAZyme) and secondary ...

Cleanliness of Canal Walls following Gutta-Percha Removal with Hand Files, RaCe and RaCe plus XP-Endo Finisher Instruments: A Photographic in Vitro Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Introduction: Gutta-percha must be removed from the root canal space during retreatment to ensure a more favorable outcome. The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of hand instruments, RaCe and RaCe plus XP-endo finisher instruments in removal ...

Searching for Novel COVID19 Treatments: Towards Covalent TMPRSS2 Inhibitors

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 19, 14 October 2026.
We designed, synthesised, and evaluated new guanidine derivatives as potential covalent inhibitors of TMPRSS2, a key protease for SARS‐CoV‐2 entry. Computational studies showed that some compounds have improved binding over nafamostat. However, experimentally none effectively blocked viral entry in cell assays, indicating further optimisation is needed.

Eficácia de protocolos coadjuvantes (XP-ENDO FINISHER E XPENDO FINISHER R) na remoção de material obturador em raízes mesiais de molares inferiores [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The present study aims to compare the effectiveness of removing obturator material during endodontic retreatment by means of different systems. Thus, forty lower molars with mesial roots separated from distal roots, and mesial roots separated between

Persistent Epigenetic Reprogramming Is Associated With Contrasting Drought‐Response Strategies in Citrus Scion–Rootstock Systems

open access: yesPhysiologia Plantarum, Volume 178, Issue 5, September/October 2026.
ABSTRACT Recurrent drought limits the productivity of perennial crops such as citrus, whose tolerance to water deficit largely depends on scion–rootstock interactions. Although physiological responses to recurrent drought are well documented, the epigenetic states associated with these responses remain poorly understood, limiting the use of epigenetic ...

Apical Extrusion of Debris and Irrigant Using XP-Endo Finisher, EndoActivator, Passive Ultrasonic Irrigation or Syringe Irrigation

open access: yes, 2018
Objective: Extrusion of irrigant and debris into the periapical tissues is a potential risk for flare-ups during root canal treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the apically extruded debris and sodium hypochlorite during XP-Endo Finisher (XP ...
