Expanding the Tephrochronological Record in the Alps: Discovery of the Laacher See Tephra in Lake Plansee (Austria)

We present the first documented occurrence of the Laacher See tephra (LST) in the Eastern Alps, identified in lake Plansee, Austria. The LST is a key chronostratigraphic marker for correlating and dating Late Glacial sedimentary archives.

Tuning Li+ and Na+ Functionality in Renewable Carbon Electroactive Material Through Site‐Specific Nanostructural Disorder

This study presents a selective thermal transformation of polycarbonate into hybrid carbon materials. The structured carbon enhances electrochemical performance, particularly in lithium‐ion systems. Investigations reveal improved bimetallic ion diffusivity through the hybrid microstructure, contributing to excellent charge kinetics.

This study examines the influence of boron‐doped mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGN) blended in cast and 3D‐printed pre‐crosslinked alginate‐dialdehyde‐gelatin (ADA‐GEL). Addition of 0.5% and 1% MBGN did not negatively affect the viability of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), or the sprouting of HUVEC spheroids.
