Xylella fastidiosa Esterase Rather than Hydroxynitrile Lyase
ChemBioChem, 2015AbstractIn 2009, we reported that the product of the gene SCJ21.16 (XFa0032) from Xylella fastidiosa, a xylem‐restricted plant pathogen that causes a range of diseases in several important crops, encodes a protein (XfHNL) with putative hydroxynitrile lyase activity.

Prediction of potential thermostable proteins in Xylella fastidiosa
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2006The average protein (E+K)/(Q+H) ratio in organisms has already been demonstrated to have a strong correlation with their optimal growth temperature. Employing the Thermo-Search web tool, we used this ratio as a basis to look for thermostable proteins in a mesophile, Xylella fastidiosa.

Xylella fastidiosa: bacterial parasitism with hallmarks of commensalism
Current Opinion in Plant Biology, 2019All organisms evolve in the presence of other organisms and these intimate associations are major drivers of evolution. Broadly speaking, these interactions are considered symbioses and can take on a full range of positive, negative or seemingly neutral interactions.

Biljne bolesti uzrokovane bakterijom Xylella fastidiosa

Xylella Fastidiosa, a Landscape Crisis
A bacterium called xylella fastidiosa started to desertify olive trees in Southern Italy, and to date no remedy has been found to stop the contagion. The European Union has imposed the eradication of every tree that is positive for the bacterium effectively proposing a desertification of the infected territory without addressing the issue of landscape ...openaire +1 more source
