Iodine and selenium intakes and status and thyroid function in midlife women with low bread intakes in New Zealand

open access: yesNutrition &Dietetics, Volume 83, Issue 2, Page 258-266, April 2026.
Abstract Aims Iodine and selenium are important nutrients for thyroid function; however, the New Zealand food supply is generally low in both minerals. The Blue List Initiative: Guiding Biodiversity Restoration in Brazil's Espinhaço Range

open access: yesApplied Vegetation Science, Volume 29, Issue 2, April/June 2026.
The campo rupestre is a biodiversity hotspot marked by extreme habitat heterogeneity and high species turnover. Using phytosociological data, floristic clustering and zeta diversity, we show that habitats are floristically non‐interchangeable and propose habitat‐ and substrate‐specific Blue Lists to guide effective, locality‐based ecological ...

Climatically Driven Stability in the Alpine/Moorland Boundary on Three Mountains in Southwest Lutruwita/Tasmania 1986–2020

open access: yesJournal of Vegetation Science, Volume 37, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
This study examined the alpine/moorland ecotone in southwest Lutruwita/Tasmania for impacts of climate change over 34 years. The results showed a stable vegetation boundary. It is likely the observed increase in wind and constant windward sea surface temperature are ameliorating impacts from rising atmospheric temperatures.
