The Serine/Threonine Kinase NDR2 Regulates Integrin Signaling, Synapse Formation, and Synaptic Plasticity in the Hippocampus

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 169, Issue 6, June 2025.
Ndr2 participates in the T788/789 phosphorylation of the integrin β1 integrin subunit. Ndr2 deficiency reduces synaptic density, diminishes CA1 LTP, and impairs spatial memory. Activation of integrins restores the plasticity impairment of Ndr2 deficient mice. Ndr2 is involved in integrin‐dependent synapse formation and plasticity in the hippocampus CA1.

Exploiting Polynomial Chaos Expansion for Rapid Assessment of the Impact of Tissue Property Uncertainties in Low‐Intensity Focused Ultrasound Stimulation

open access: yesBioelectromagnetics, Volume 46, Issue 3, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Neuromodulation with low‐intensity focused ultrasound (LIFUS) holds significant promise for noninvasive treatment of neurological disorders, but its success relies heavily on accurately targeting specific brain regions. Computational model predictions can be used to optimize LIFUS, but uncertain acoustic tissue properties can affect prediction
