Ringtail (Bassariscus astutus) survival in southwestern Oregon
The Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.We captured and monitored radio‐collared ringtails over 2 years to estimate monthly and annual survival rates. We found that annual survival rates were much higher within forested landscapes in Oregon than for populations in the southwestern United States.

The Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.Saharan striped polecats in agricultural landscapes use many burrows (30–35 per season), facilitated by sandy soils. Burrow sharing is rare and mainly occurs between males and females during mating. Habitat use shifts seasonally, reflecting disturbance and soil conditions. Maintaining stable sandy habitats may be critical for persistence.

Living on the edge: Habitat characteristics of northern myotis at the periphery of its distribution
The Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.Northern myotis selected tall trees with minimal decay, in patches with other roosting options. In our study area, these trees occurred in narrow bands within an agricultural matrix, differing from contiguous forest at the core of the species' distribution. Nevertheless, bats selected the tallest trees in the densest patches available.
