Flourishing through adventure learning: A (semi)cautionary tale

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Studies suggest that adventure learning can develop children's cognitive skills and promote social and emotional learning. However, evidence is needed as to whether the design of adventure learning—school‐based or external/residential—plays a role in that development/promotion, and whether learning gains are maintained.

Nonequilibrium evaporation enables carrier polarity control in Bi‐Te thin films

open access: yesInfoScience, EarlyView.
Controlling carrier polarity in semiconductors is important for developing advanced electronics but is usually achieved through doping or composition engineering. Here, we demonstrate that nonequilibrium evaporation can naturally reshape Bi–Te thin films from a Te‐rich p‐type conducting phase to a Bi2Te3‐rich n‐type phase during growth.
