Between and Within Bay Differences in Mesozooplankton Assemblages in the Central and Eastern Baltic Sea: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesBiological Diversity, EarlyView.
Mesozooplankton assemblages differed significantly both between and within Baltic Sea bays, driven mainly by local salinity and temperature gradients. Distinct communities occurred over distances of less than 1 km, demonstrating strong fine‐scale spatial variability.

Exploring Sustainable Growth: Eco‐Innovation Among Small and Medium‐Sized Enterprises

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examined how small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in the aerospace industry developed capabilities for eco‐innovation, specifically SMEs enrolled in a green transition mentorship programme. What Do We Know About Scope 3 Emissions in Small‐ and Medium‐Sized Enterprises? Mapping Current Knowledge and Advancing a Theory–Practice‐Oriented Framework

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although SMEs comprise over 90% of firms globally, research on their engagement with Scope 3 (value‐chain) greenhouse gas emissions remains limited. This PRISMA‐guided systematic review synthesises 49 SME‐relevant studies to develop a theory‐informed, practice‐oriented framework for more credible and sustained Scope 3 engagement.

Carbon Markets and Green Innovation: Path‐Dependent Firm Responses to Emissions Trading

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper identifies a dynamic boundary condition of the Porter hypothesis by examining how firms' pre‐existing innovation trajectories shape regulatory‐induced green innovation within the context of a market‐based carbon policy. Building on path dependency theory, we argue that firms' responses to environmental regulation are contingent on ...

Maize Kernel Composition and Morphology Influences Pericarp Retention During Nixtamalization

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Objectives Pericarp retention during nixtamalization directly influences masa quality, affecting texture, machinability, and nutritional content of staple foods such as tortillas and chips. Despite its industrial relevance, the underlying kernel traits that govern pericarp retention remain poorly characterized.
