The article is devoted to the issue of using abbreviations in the Yakut language as exemplified in the Yakut-language magazines “Dalbar Khotun”, “Uye”. The study compensates for previous lack of comprehensive coverage of the abbreviation issue in the Yakut language, provides recommendations on how to spell abbreviations.
