Morphodynamic Simulation at the South Branch of Yangtze Estuary
Volume 4: Ocean Engineering; Ocean Renewable Energy; Ocean Space Utilization, Parts A and B, 2009In this paper a numerical morphodynamic model TIMOR3 has been introduced and applied to simulate the morphological response to the water and sediment changes in the Yangtze River Estuary. TIMOR3, coupled with Hydrodynamic Model and Wave Model, is used to simulate a long-term and huge area of the morphological changes in the Yangtze River Estuary.

Similarities between Yangshan Harbor area and the Yangtze estuary
Journal of Geographical Sciences, 2002By analysis of published papers on the Yangtze estuary and hydrological and sediments data in Yangshan Harbor area, many similarities are found between Yangshan Harbor area and the Yangtze estuary. These similarities include the phenomenon of stagnating flow areas, the distributive characteristics of the highest suspended sediment concentration areas ...

Assessment of trophic status in Changjiang (Yangtze) River estuary
Chinese Journal of Oceanology and Limnology, 2007The integrated methodology for the assessment of estuarine trophic status (ASSETS), which was extended and refined from the United States National Estuarine Eutrophication Assessment (NEEA), is a multi-parameter assessment system and has been widely used in eutrophication assessment in estuarine and coastal waters.

Assessing surface water quality of the Yangtze Estuary with genotoxicity data
Marine Pollution Bulletin, 2005The present study investigated the genotoxicity of the surface water samples from the Yangtze Estuary with the Ames test in three seasons. Several important chemical parameters, such as COD inorganic nitrogen, active phosphate and heavy metals, were also analyzed at the same time. According the results, surface water samples from the south branch and a
