Yano-ledger connection and induced connection on vector bundles
Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 1992Starting with a linear connection on \(\mathcal M\), \textit{K. Yano} and \textit{A. J. Ledger} [J. Lond. Math. Soc. 39, 495-500 (1964; Zbl 0126.383)] constructed a torsion-free linear connection on \(TM\). The authors realize the same, replacing \(TM\) by the total space \(E\) of a vector bundle \(V\) and replacing \(M\) by the base space \(B\) of \(V\

Berwald-type and Yano-type connections on Lie algebroids
International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2015In a new approach, by using the exact sequences, semisprays on the prolongation of a Lie algebroids are introduced and many important results on the semisprays and sprays are obtained. Also, the horizontal endomorphisms, almost complex structures, vertical, horizontal and complete lifts on the prolongation of a Lie algebroid are considered.
