Functional Trait Research in Brazilian Bryophytes: Advances, Biases, and Future Directions

open access: yesEcological Research, Volume 41, Issue 2, March 2026.
The three‐field plot shows how leading researchers, functional traits, and biomes are interconnected in Brazilian bryophyte ecology. It highlights strong links between reproductive traits and the Atlantic Forest, reflecting research focus and collaboration patterns.

Genetic diversity and molecular phylogeographic analysis of an alien praying mantis, Hierodula chinensis, in Japan

open access: yesEntomological Science, Volume 29, Issue 1, March 2026.
Analysis of the COI gene in 127 individuals of Hierodula chinensis from 40 sites in Japan revealed 18 haplotypes that clustered into two genetically distinct clades. Thirteen haplotypes were each detected in only a single prefecture, whereas five haplotypes were found across multiple prefectures. Abstract Hierodula chinensis Werner (Mantodea: Mantidae),

On transversally elliptic operators and the quantization of manifolds with $f$-structure

open access: yes, 2011
An $f$-structure on a manifold $M$ is an endomorphism field $\phi\in\Gamma(M,\End(TM))$ such that $\phi^3+\phi=0$. Any $f$-structure $\phi$ determines an almost CR structure $E_{1,0}\subset T_\C M$ given by the $+i$-eigenbundle of $\phi$.

Migration of Multimodal Deep Crustal Earthquake Swarm Beneath the Abu Volcano Group, Japan

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Abstract Earthquakes in the lower crust, where high pressures and temperatures favor ductile deformation, are rare but occasionally occur beneath active volcanic centers, providing insights into deep magmatic processes. We analyze a deep crustal earthquake swarm (February–August 2025) of over 5,000 events beneath the Abu Volcano Group, Japan.

Killing-Yano tensor and supersymmetry of the self-dual Plebanski-Demianski solution

open access: yes, 2016
We explore various aspects of the self-dual Pleba\'nski-Demia\'nski family in the Euclidean Einstein-Maxwell-$\Lambda$ system. The Killing-Yano tensor which was recently found by Yasui and one of the present authors allows us to prove that the self-dual ...

Linear Connections and Curvature Tensors in the Geometry of Parallelizable Manifolds

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we discuss curvature tensors in the context of Absolute Parallelism geometry. Different curvature tensors are expressed in a compact form in terms of the torsion tensor of the canonical connection.

Riding the monsoon: Geography and Iron Age trade in the Indian Ocean

open access: yesThe Economic History Review, Volume 79, Issue 1, Page 312-341, February 2026.
Abstract This paper exploits ancient textual sources to develop a database of ancient trade in the Indian Ocean and model trade in the region during the Iron Age. Wind‐speed data are used to construct a gravity model of trade and are combined with detailed textual data from the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea to analyse historical development trends in ...

Affine Algebraic Ricci Solitons Associated to the Yano Connections on Three-Dimensional Lorentzian Lie Groups

open access: yesJournal of Nonlinear Mathematical Physics
Abstract In this paper, we compute curvatures of Yano connections on three-dimensional Lorentzian Lie groups with some product structure. We define affine algebraic Ricci solitons associated to Yano connections and classify left-invariant affine algebraic Ricci solitons associated to Yano connections on three-dimensional Lorentzian Lie groups.

Antibody‐Functionalized DNA Hydrogels Recognize and Isolate Living Tumor Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 2, 20 January 2026.
We present a novel strategy using DNA Y‐motif nanostar hydrogels and DNA‐functionalized antibodies for precise live‐cell manipulation. Target cells are labeled with DNA sticky ends that hybridize with DNA Y‐motifs, enabling their incorporation and capture within the hydrogel during self‐assembly.
