Bu çalışmada nehir kenarında ve tuzlu bataklıklarda yayılış gösteren Tamarix tetrandra Pallas ex. Bieb. türünün yaprak ve gövde yapısı anatomik ve mikromorfolojik yönden incelenmiştir. Türe ait örnekler anatomik incelemeler için %70’lik alkol içerisinde stok örnek haline getirilmiştir.

Farmakopelerde kayıtlıdır ve ayrıca süs bitkisiolarak Kanada’da kültürü yapılır. Bu çalışmada V. hispanica’nın yaprak anatomisi belirlenmiştir, tohum ve kromozommorfolojisi daha önceki çalışmalarla teyit edilmiştir.
