AbstractThirty crop species provide 90% of our food, most of which display severe yield losses under moderate salinity. Securing and augmenting agricultural yield in times of global warming and population increase is urgent and should, aside from ameliorating saline soils, include attempts to increase crop plant salt tolerance.

Parsimonious modeling of yield curves
, 1987This paper introduces a parametrically parsimonious model for yield curves that has the ability to represent the shapes generally associated with yield curves: monotonic, humped, and S-shaped.

Among the performance indices for successful IC manufacturing, the yield of manufacturing is regarded as the most important one. Yield is usually defined as the ratio of the number of usable items after the completion of production processes to the number of potentially usable items at the beginning of production [148].

Bond yields compared to amortizing yields
Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, 1993A large amount of theoretical research has been conducted concerning the impact of debt instrument features such as callability, tax treatment, and default risk upon valuation and yield. Almost all this research has been performed on bond-like instruments; this is unfortunate since a large proportion of debt instruments is amortizing.

Effect of uneven emergence on rice yield, milling yield, and yield components [PDF]
Establishing a uniform rice (Oryza sativa L.) stand is an important beginning to managing a rice crop and attaining high yields. Most rice management practices in the United States are timed according to rice growth stages. Non-uniform rice stands, and subsequently non-uniform growth stages, present problems for the timely application of management ...

“The King will not Yield” [PDF]
Throughout the spring, Ultra political strategy pressed the Left toward a still more unified position. The government was scarcely able to conceal its designs, due to the unguarded clamor of journals in its own political camp. Ultraroyalist papers continued to be divided among themselves and immersed in stubborn feuds which reflected the very real ...
