Rice yield prediction from yield components and limiting factors

European Journal of Agronomy, 2002
Abstract This article aims to quantify growth at field level in relation to crop status and soil properties in irrigated direct-seeded rice. Forty fields were selected in the Ebro Delta (Spain). Rice growth was monitored and soil properties measured. Yield was related to soil properties by a deductive process identifying the yield determining factors.

Components of the Yield and Yield of Vicia Faba

1984
Preliminary experiments have indicated the main factors affecting the yield of winter (6 trials) and spring faba beans (5 trials): information is presented on the development of pods and flowers, yield and yield components and grain protein content at different locations in France.

Development and yield components of high-yielding wheat crops

New Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, 1977
Abstract In a field experiment, ‘Arawa’ wheat outyielded ‘Aotea’ by 10% through the production of a higher grain yield per ear. Irrigation had no effect on grain yield because of plant uptake of subsoil moisture. Nitrogen increased grain yield by 19% mainly by increasing ear number. Sowing rate had no effect on yield.

Growth Analysis And Yield Components

1996
Abstract Plant growth analysis values and yield components can easily and conveniently be expressed with SI units, and yet SI units are often incorrectly used to report these measurements. Like many units reported in the literature, the reasons are historical.

Soybean Yield and Yield Components in Two Planting Patterns

Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science, 1994
AbstractSoybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] plant density for maximum yield in Japan is usually from 16 to 25 plants m−2. The objective of this study was to compare yield and yield components, especially node number between square‐ and zigzag‐ (an equilateral triangle‐planting pattern or plants in the row offset from each other) planting patterns within a

Different sowing dates affected cotton yield and yield components

2016
This study was conducted to determine whether selecting an optimum sowing date couldimprove yield. The experiment consisted of sowing a film-covered, drip-irrigated cotton field onfour sowing dates from April to May in 2011-2012 at the Agrometeorological ExperimentalStation of Wulanwusu, which was in an arid region of north-western China.

Genetic Analysis for Yield and Yield Components in Rapeseed

2017
Information on estimates ofcombining ability and heritability of the promising lines of breeding materialis important for evolving higher yielding varieties of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.). To estimate the combining ability and heritability of F2 populationsof 4 x 4 full diallel crosses and parents, an experiment was carried out at TheUniversity of ...
