Spatial heterogeneity of hotspot mutations and clonal relatedness in ovarian endometrioid carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatially resolved analysis revealed heterogeneous distributions of selected cancer‐associated mutations within ovarian endometrioid carcinomas. Shared mutations between paired endometrial and ovarian tumors supported clonal relatedness. These findings highlight the value of sampling multiple tumor regions when interpreting molecular profiles ...

USP7 inhibits FOXO1 activity in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells enhancing cell survival

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CLL cells rely on BCR‐mediated signalling for survival and proliferation in part through suppression of FOXO1. FOXO1 activity is regulated by a plethora of post‐translational modifications including phosphorylation and ubiquitination. We demonstrated that dual inhibition of BCR signalling and the deubiquitinase USP7 activates FOXO1, modulating its ...

Applying artificial intelligence for improving grape yield estimation: A case study of wine and table grapes in South Africa

open access: yes
Accurate grape yield estimation is essential for effective vineyard management, crop planning, and resource allocation. Traditional methods often involve time-consuming and labour-intensive processes, which may introduce errors due to the large size and ...

Tumour‐proximal deep serum proteomics identifies biomarkers associated with ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
New biomarkers are needed for early ovarian cancer detection. Ovarian (tumour‐proximal) and peripheral vein serum from healthy women and patients with benign or malignant tumours underwent nanoparticle‐enriched deep proteomics. Ovarian serum yielded more protein identifications and revealed tumour‐reflective signatures.

Risk premiums and GM traits [PDF]

open access: yes
An argument in favor of the development of genetically modified (GM) hybrids is that their presence is considered to be risk decreasing. On this basis, insurance premiums for corn growers in the United States who plant approved hybrids have been reduced.
