A Spatio-temporal Model for Agricultural Yield Prediction

open access: yes
The paper presents a spatio-temporal statistical model of agricultural yield prediction based on spatial mixtures of distributions. The proposed method combines several hierarchical and sequential Bayesian estimation procedures that allow the general ...

Deep-Transfer-Learning Strategies for Crop Yield Prediction Using Climate Records and Satellite Image Time-Series Data [PDF]

open access: yes
The timely and reliable prediction of crop yields on a larger scale is crucial for ensuring a stable food supply and food security. In the last few years, many studies have demonstrated that deep learning can offer reliable solutions for crop yield ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Utilizing vegetation indices with optimal wavelengths to predict nitrogen uptake at the flowering stage and wheat yield

open access: yesPlant Production Science
Techniques for determining the amount of nitrogen topdressing based on remote sensing during the flowering stage of wheat require highly accurate yield predictions. Optimal wavelength combinations for accurately predicting nitrogen uptake and wheat yield

Yield Curve Dynamics: Regional Common Factor Model

open access: yes
In this paper, we focus on thorough yield curve modelling. We build on extended classical Nelson-Siegel model, which we further develop to accommodate unobserved regional common factors.

The yield curve as a predictor and emerging economies [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates the extent to which the slope of the yield curve in emerging economies predicts domestic inflation and growth. It also examines international financial linkages and how the US and euro area yield curves help to predict.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Enhancing AquaCrop model precision for accurate simulation of sweet potato and taro landraces

open access: yesFrontiers in Sustainable Food Systems
Neglected and underutilised crop species (NUS) such as orange-fleshed sweet potato (OFSP) and taro are nutrient-dense, climate-resilient crops with high potential to diversify food systems.
