Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Prediction of Synthesis Yield of Polymethoxy Dibutyl Ether Under Small Sample Conditions

open access: yesMolecules
In chemical reaction processes, yield prediction frequently faces challenges, such as multi-variable coupling, significant nonlinearity, and the limited accuracy of traditional mechanistic models.

Accuracy of predicting milk yield from alternative milk recording schemes

open access: yes, 2005
peer-reviewedThe effect of reducing the frequency of official milk recording and the number of recorded samples per test-day on the accuracy of predicting daily yield and cumulative 305-day yield was investigated.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Artificial intelligence and Multispectral Imaging Technologies for Assessing Climate Impact on Maize Yield: A Literature Review

open access: yesMaǧallaẗ al-baṣraẗ al-ʻulūm al-zirāʻiyyaẗ
Maize production in Central America and Mexico is particularly susceptible to climate variability, especially the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), which causes drought and irregular rainfall.

Pre-harvest Forecasting of County Wheat Yield and Wheat Quality Conditional on Weather Information

open access: yes
Wheat regression models that account for the effect of weather are developed to forecast wheat yield and quality. Spatial lag effects are included. Wheat yield, protein, and test weight level are strongly influenced by weather variables.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Development of a 2D Image-Based Rice Panicle-Level Yield Prediction Framework Using Image-Based Reconstruction Technique

open access: yesAgronomy
Asian countries, which account for more than 60% of global rice consumption, are expanding the adoption of precision agriculture technology using image sensors to increase the profitability of rice production.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Field-Scale Prediction of Winter Wheat Yield Using Satellite-Derived NDVI

open access: yesAgronomy
This study evaluated the potential of Sentinel-2-derived NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) for predicting within-field variability of winter wheat grain yield in central Lithuania during the 2024 growing season.
