Advances in yield stress measurements for chocolate
2017Chocolate (a cocoa dispersion), can be defined as a concentrated suspension made up of solid particles, such as sugar, cocoa powder, milk powder, etc., dispersed in a Newtonian liquid, generally cocoa butter. The rheological properties of this matrix are largely influenced by type and quantity of ingredients and processing techniques.

Rapid Spreading of Yield-Stress Liquids
LangmuirWhen a liquid drop makes initial contact with any surface, an unbalanced surface tension force drives the contact line, causing spreading. For Newtonian liquids, either liquid inertia or viscosity dictates these early regimes of spreading, albeit with different power-law behaviors of the evolution of the dynamic spreading radius.

Stress relaxation from initial stress levels below yield
Materials Research Bulletin, 1971Abstract The problem of relaxation of a uniaxially stressed specimen, loaded initially to a level within the so-called elastic range and then held under load in the testing machine, is analyzed using the Johnston-Gilman concept of plastic flow.

Yield-stress and stress relaxation measurements in cobalt
Journal of Applied Physics, 1984Yield stress of polycrystalline cobalt (5N) was studied in the temperature range 15–300 K and interpreted by a theoretical model which provided an agreement with experimental results. Logarithmic stress relaxation was also studied in polycrystalline cobalt at natural strains of up to 8% at 15, 25, 40, and 55 K.

Yield stress of magnetic suspensions
Colloid Journal, 2012The theories available for the yield stress of magnetic suspensions imply that their transition from a quasi-elastic to a fluid behavior is related to the disruption of chainlike or bulk columnlike aggregates connecting opposite boundaries of a region containing a suspension.

Yield Stress of Nanocrystalline Materials
2004Most mechanical properties of nanocrystalline materials (NCMs) are essentially different from those of conventional coarse-grained polycrystals. NCMs exhibit extremely high strength and good fatigue resistance [224–226], as desired for numerous applications. Most NCMs show low tensile ductility which limits their practical utility.

Spreading of yield stress fluids
2023The spreading of complex fluids is essential in many industrial processes for example in the cosmetic industry. We study here the spreading of complex fluids in two different geometries: dip coating experiments where a rod is pulled out of a yield stress fluid and soft blade experiments where a coating film is obtained by squeezing a liquid drop with a
