Dynamic Risk Profile of the US Term Structure by Wavelet MRA [PDF]

open access: yes
A careful examination of interest rate time series from different U.S. Treasury maturities by Wavelet Multiresolution Analysis (MRA) suggests that the first differences of the term structure of interest rate series are periodic or, at least, cyclic, non ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Debt Dilution and Maturity Structure of Sovereign Bonds [PDF]

open access: yes
We develop a dynamic model of sovereign default and renegotiation to study how expectations of default and debt restructuring in the near future affect the ex ante maturity structure of sovereign debts.

Effects of flowering behavior and pod maturity synchrony on yield of mungbean [Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek]. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A number of experiments were set up to assess the flower production and flowering pattern in synchrony with pod maturity and seed yield in twelve mungbean genotypes.

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Incomplete markets, liquidation risk and the term structure of interest rates [PDF]

open access: yes
We construct a general equilibrium model with incomplete markets and borrowing constraints, in order to study the term structure of real interest rates.

Optimizing crop geometry for enhanced growth and yield of soybean [Glycine max L. (Merrill)] maturity groups in western Ethiopia

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences & Environment
Increasing soybean [Glycine max L. (Merrill)] productivity relies heavily on optimizing crop geometry, encompassing both inter‐ and intra‐row spacing. This crucial agronomic practice directly impacts the productivity of soybean crops, making it vital for

A new framework for yield curve, output and inflation relationships [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This article develops a theoretically-consistent and easy-to-apply framework for interpreting, investigating, and monitoring the relationships between the yield curve, output, and inflation.
