Edge‐preserving noise for diffusion models

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Classical diffusion models typically rely on isotropic Gaussian noise, treating all regions uniformly and overlooking structural information important for high‐quality generation. We introduce an edge‐preserving diffusion process that generalizes isotropic models via a hybrid noise scheme with an edge‐aware scheduler that smoothly transitions ...

Class Angular Distortion Index for Dimensionality Reduction

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Dimensionality reduction (DR) techniques are often characterized by whether they preserve global, high‐level structures in the data or local, neighborhood structures. This distinction matters in visualization: global methods can obscure clusters while local methods can over‐emphasize them.

MotionPyramid: Controllable Motion Synthesis via Stylized Phase Manifolds

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We introduce stylized phase manifolds—a compact, interpretable latent representation that disentangles motion content (e.g. “jumping”, “walking”), the temporal structure (e.g. motion cycle frequency, gait timing), and style (i.e. how the motion is performed). Learned in an unsupervised manner and inherently low‐dimensional, the manifold offers

Ultra‐High‐Speed Sintering of 3.5Y‐TZP Zirconia: Time Reduction Without Compromising Translucency

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To assess, firstly, the impact of three sintering speeds on translucency and grain size of 3.5Y‐TZP zirconia (Katana HT) across clinically relevant thicknesses, and secondly, the effect of thermocycling on translucency. Materials and Methods Disc specimens were fabricated at six thicknesses (0.7–2.0 mm) and sintered using SLOW (7 h),

Preparation of Electrolyte Based on YSZ Material at the Green Boundary of NiO-YSZ

open access: yesInternational Research Journal of Innovations in Engineering and Technology
The development of alternative energy technologies, particularly based on fuel cells, has become a primary focus in material research for energy applications. Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) are promising due to their high efficiency, fuel flexibility, and relatively low environmental impact.

Effects of high‐speed sintering on the translucency and color of dental zirconia with different shades and yttria contents

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study evaluated the effects of high‐speed sintering on the translucency and color of various yttria‐stabilized zirconia (YSZ) compositions and identified factors influencing these properties to improve clinical predictability. Materials and Methods A total of 144 disc‐shaped specimens fabricated from 3YSZ, 4YSZ, and 5YSZ pucks in ...

Preparation of NiO-YSZ Substrate for Electrophoretic Deposition of Thin YSZ Film

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2013
AbstractIn this report, a strategic approach for preparation of dense 8YSZ electrolyte layer on porous NiO-YSZ substrate was proposed. Porosity in the substrate was introduced by mixing corn starch with the starting NiO-YSZ powder. By varying the content of corn starch, porosity and sintering shrinkage of the sintered substrates were studied.

Characterization of Cracks and their Effects on the Effective Transport Pathways in Ni-YSZ Anodes after Reoxidation Using X-Ray Nanotomography [PDF]

open access: yes
Reduction-oxidation cycling of Ni-based electrodes for solid oxide fuel/electrolysis cells irreversibly alters their microstructure and can cause the fracture of the electrolyte.

Effects of low‐pressure plasma and ytterbium fiber laser on zirconia surface properties and bond strength to gingiva‐colored composite

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate and compare the effects of surface activation by low‐pressure plasma (LPP) and surface texturing by ytterbium fiber laser (YFL) treatments on zirconia surface properties and shear bond strength (SBS) to a gingiva‐colored indirect composite under aged and non‐aged conditions.

A New Method to Analysis the Co-Sintering of NiO/YSZ-YSZ Coating

open access: yes, 2010
To explain the deformation during the co-sintering of NiO/YSZ-YSZ coating, the sintering shrinkage of NiO, NiO/YSZ and YSZ were measured by dilatometer.
