Deterministic Fiber‐Optic Spectral Engineering Enables Three‐Color Multiplexed Two‐Photon Microscopy

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A simulation‐guided spectral‐engineering framework maps the nonlinear parameter space of a fiber laser platform to identify balanced three‐band excitation states. The resulting 960, 1080, and 1175 nm femtosecond pulses deliver nJ‐level energies for low‐cross‐talk chromatically multiplexed two‐photon microscopy.

Lineshapes of consecutive transitions in ytterbium

open access: yes
The argon broadened profiles of two ytterbium lines which form a stepwise excitation route 61S0-63P1-73S1 are reported. The red and blue far wing features are discussed and qualitative information on the argon-ytterbium potentials are obtained.

Frontiers of Bright CEP‐Stable Broadband Infrared Sources

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Bright CEP‐stable broadband infrared sources push the limits of ultrafast science by delivering exceptional brightness alongside few‐cycle durations and multi‐octave spectral coverage. This review highlights emerging architectures and nonlinear conversion strategies that scale power while preserving phase stability.

Atmospheric Corrosion Protection of LPBF Manufactured AlSi10Mg by Combining SiOx‐CVD and PDMS Grafting

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Hybrid SiOₓ‐CVD/PDMS ultrathin films mitigate atmospheric corrosion of additively manufactured AlSi10Mg. Electrochemical analyses show reduced corrosion currents, increased charge‐transfer resistance, and suppressed pitting due to diminished cathodic activity and limited oxygen and ion transport under NaCl exposure.

Dissipative Ytterbium gases

open access: yes

Thermal behaviour of ytterbium diphosphate YbP2O7

open access: yes, 2011
Thermal behaviour of acid ytterbium diphosphate YbHP2O7 has been investigated within the temperature range of 30–1000 ºC. It was found that the compound decomposes in two steps.
