Advances in Halide Perovskites for Photon Radiation Detectors
This work highlights recent progress in perovskite‐based photon radiation detectors, covering organic–inorganic hybrid, inorganic, lead‐free double, and vacancy‐ordered halide perovskites. Their detection performance is compared, material‐specific advantages and challenges are examined, and provides insight into current limitations and future ...

High accuracy measure of atomic polarizability in an optical lattice clock
Despite being a canonical example of quantum mechanical perturbation theory, as well as one of the earliest observed spectroscopic shifts, the Stark effect contributes the largest source of uncertainty in a modern optical atomic clock through blackbody ...

Exploring the Potential of Microwave Annealing for Enhancing Si‐based GeSn Lasers
We explore low‐thermal‐budget microwave annealing to enhance the performance of group‐IV GeSn lasers on Si. Microwave annealing under optimal conditions can simultaneously relax unwanted compressive strain and enhance the material quality of the GeSn active layer, thereby reducing the threshold and increasing the laser operating temperature.

Sympathetic cooling in an optically trapped mixture of alkali and spin-singlet atoms
We report on the realization of a stable mixture of ultracold lithium and ytterbium atoms confined in a far-off-resonance optical dipole trap. We observe sympathetic cooling of 6Li by 174Yb and extract the s-wave scattering length magnitude |a6Li-174Yb| =

Simple Coherent Polarization Manipulation Scheme for Generating High Power Radially Polarized Beam
We present a simple novel scheme that converts a Gaussian beam into an approximated radially polarized beam using coherent polarization manipulation together with Poynting walk-off in birefringent crystals.

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

Space Group Modulated Upconversion and Mechanoluminescence in [YbEu] Cocrystal Complexes
We report here a space group regulation strategy to optimize both upconversion and mechanoluminescence in cocrystal assemblies, representing the first example of integrating these two properties within a single lanthanide complex material. ABSTRACT Lanthanide complexes exhibiting stimuli‐responsive luminescence, such as upconversion (UC) and ...
