The interaction between the phosphorylated amino acid O‐phospho‐L‐serine and trivalent ions of f‐elements such as La3+, Eu3+, and Lu3+, supplemented by Y3+, has been studied in aqueous media. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy in solution and in the solid state examined complex formation from the ligand perspective, while time‐resolved laser‐

High temperature deformability of ductile flash-sintered ceramics via in-situ compression
Flash sintering allows for rapid ceramic processing, but the mechanical behavior of such ceramics remains poorly understood. Here, the authors compress micropillars of yttria stabilized zirconia to show flash sintering promotes outstanding plasticity.

Impurities Effect on the Charge Mobility of Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia
The present study is concerned with the preparation of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) having high charge mobility. Herein, we studied the doping of zirconia with different concentrations of Y2O3.

Hole Polaronic Confinement in (111) Yttria‐Stabilised Zirconia
Ultrathin epitaxial YSZ(111) films unexpectedly develop p‐type mixed conduction and amplified electromechanical coupling under oxidizing conditions. Combined transport measurements and first‐principles modeling reveal that nanoscale confinement and ordered dopant–vacancy complexes stabilize localized O 2p hole polarons at the surface. A canonical ionic

Properties of a Pressureless Sintered 2Y-TZP Material Combining High Strength and Toughness
Yttria stabilized zirconia materials are frequently used in mechanical engineering and biomedical applications. Demanding loading conditions require materials combining a high level of strength and fracture toughness. A ready-to-press alumina doped 2 mol%

Ion diffusion in the benchmark BZCYYb electrolyte is revealed to dynamically transition under realistic PCFC operating conditions. As temperature decreases, the electrolyte shifts from oxygen‐ion to proton‐dominant conduction via grain‐boundary hydrogenation and in situ hydration, even without external humidification.
